Leakage and falling off of food grade hose connectors can cause major accidents. So these problems cannot be ignored.
Why food grade hose fitting falls and leaks
There are two main reasons. One is the deterioration of the rubber food-grade hose. The second is the improper selection of connectors and hoses. In the initial use of the hose flexibility, this flexibility makes the close connection between the hoses to a certain extent, which can effectively prevent fluid leakage.
When installing the connector, if the insertion connector is larger than the hose diameter, the hose has a strong recovery force, so it can wrap the joint tightly. However, after long-term use, the hose hardens and the fluid will leak from the gap between the hose and the connector. This phenomenon will occur between the hose and the hose clamp. So no matter how perfect the initial installation is, leakage will occur over time.
Therefore, users must perform regular maintenance and tighten the hose clamps regularly. The second reason is leakage and falling off caused by improper selection of hoses. Even products with the same name produced by the same manufacturer will have various sizes. If it is too loose, it will naturally leak and fall off immediately. On the contrary, when the connection is too tight, it will exert excessive pressure on the hose and burden. This will promote the deterioration of the hose and also speed up the leakage and detachment of the hose.
